Tooth Gem TLC

These babies are low-maintenance, but they’re still stuck to your actual teeth, so here’s how to keep ‘em cute:

but  not Indestructible.

Low Maintenance,

Avoid touching the gem (we know it’s tempting)

Brush gently around it with a soft-bristled toothbrush

Don’t eat super hard/sticky foods the first 24 hours

No teeth whitening while it’s on (unless you want a fun lil’ spot afterward)

And please, please don’t try to pry it off at home

If the gem falls off? Don’t stress. Just reach out if you want it replaced.

$h!t to Know About Tooth Gems

  •  Nope, they’re semi-permanent. With good care, they can last anywhere from 2 months to 2+ years. But they’re bonded with dental adhesive, so they don’t just fall off when you chew gum.

  • Not if it’s done right, which is what I do. Gems are applied to the enamel with adhesive, no drilling. If you want it removed, you'll need to go to your dentist.

  • Nope. Tooth gems only stick to real teeth. If it’s fake, it’s a no.

  • You’ll need to book a new appointment if you want it replaced. If there’s leftover adhesive, your dentist can clean it up for you.

  • You can, but you shouldn’t. The area under the gem won’t whiten, which means you’ll end up with a cute little spot. If you whiten anyway, that’s on you.
